The Child and Family Research Partnership (CFRP) is an independent, nonpartisan research group at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in issues related to young children, teens, and their parents. CFRP is directed by Dr. Cynthia Osborne, Associate Professor at the LBJ School of Public Affairs. The group is also part of the LBJ School’s Center for Health and Social Policy (CHASP). CFRP partners include faculty from multiple disciplines at The University of Texas at Austin as well as colleagues and professionals throughout the country.
CFRP engages in rigorous qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation work for federal, state, and local agencies and non-profit organizations aimed at strengthening families and enhancing public policy. Areas of focus include early childhood intervention through home visiting programs, child support policy, family strengthening through father participation, and adolescent development.
